We'll have a panel event featuring NYTimes employees across the technology department, and an opportunity to network with Times employees to learn more about the technical projects they work on, their internship programs, and other opportunities within the company.
Stacey Huggins is part of the News Platforms team at NYT where she works with partners in the newsroom, technology and product to develop and implement technology to support news publishing across digital and print platforms. In a nutshell, she translates journalist's needs into tools that help produce the news. She is also involved in Women in Tech and mentoring programs at the Times.
She previously worked for The Dallas Morning News, The Washington Post and Deloitte Consulting and has a journalism degree from The University of Texas at Austin.
As VP, Program Management at The New York Times, Rachel leads a department of Project Managers, Program Managers and Program Directors charged with instilling the company with a culture of discipline in planning and agility in execution. Rachel's team ensures the successful execution of Product and Technology initiatives in today's ever-changing media landscape.
An enthusiastic problem solver at work and home, Rachel lives by stacks of to-do lists and roadmaps by day and unwinds with The New York Times crossword puzzle (in digital and print!) by night.
Kristen works at the Information Security Trainer at The New York Times and has been working in the tech industry for 6 years. Before joining The Times she worked as an engineer on the Information Security team at MailChimp. Kristen also runs a blog, dontclickonthat.com, which educates people how to secure their information online.
Véronique Brossier is a senior software engineer working on the iOS newsreader app. She has been at the New York Times for almost 6 years. Prior to news, she worked on many projects for the world of art and entertainment. Brossier holds a Master's from New York University's Interactive Telecommunications Program and the C-PAC certificate from New York University's Computer Science department. She is an associate professor at NYU where she has taught technology for creative projects for 10 years.
Veronique is a French native and has lived in New York for many years. She is an art and technology enthusiast. She likes playing tennis and visits a new country every year.
